Remember the Ovation Preacher? It wasn't very popular. I think it was modeled after a Gibson Corvus. I sold em in the 70's.

ya a strat copy. Silvertone SS-11 Revolver. silvertone which is now a subordinate of Samick now.

yea those are just plain old stock pickups, seymour duncan makes great pickups called hot rails which are humbuckers that fit in single coil slots, they are good for prett much any type of music, is your guitar like a strat?

I have a Silvertone SS11 how can I tell what type of pickups are in it? i know they are single coil but like the type ya know? or are they just silvertone pickups** just plain jane... I like how those texas special pickups sound but im not into blues and stuff. i want a guit with humbuckers.

yea, i dont really see what all the fuss is about, i almost bought a pair of active pickups, most people like them for really high out put, but a good pair of seymour duncans will do the job just fu=ine, and they have better tone
